If you’re looking to start up any sort of internet enterprise you there are many things you need to consider before you get the ball rolling. You need to consider all aspects of the work you are hoping to carry out, and then you need to decide how you are going to carry out the work. A lot of people think that because they are working online, they will be able to deal with all of the ins and outs of getting a site up and running, but to have a successful business online, you need to monitor, change and add to your site constantly.
It’s probably unrealistic to think that you can do this all on your own. This leaves you with the decision of how you will find the right people to work with you. Some people are lucky enough to actually know someone who is suitable to help them, and this relies of course on that persons ability to agree with you a mutually beneficial way of working together. The problem I have with employing people I know is that you generally need to give them full time work, or at the very least, a great package to compensate them for irregular work.
The best thing I ever did was to discover that there were freelancers available online, who were willing to get stuck into nearly any work that you needed doing. I found a great site which advertised hundreds of freelance workers and there was information about their previous work and most of them had great references too. This meant that I got a good worker, with history in the business which reassured me. I’d love to be able to work with friends, but being able to pick the perfect person for the job everytime is just too good an opportunity to miss!

I have a vase which is a family heirloom. It’s an ancent Armenian artifact believed to be almost 3000 years old. I’d like to get it appraised and get in contact with someone who specializes in this area. Any suggestions for online resources? (Aside from Sotheby’s)

A question to the internet oldschoolers who might be residing among us – if a quick trip to your local library “gave 0 results for your search” or not enough anyway, what online resources did you most frequently refer to before Wikipedia was born or when it was still doing baby-steps? I know there were hundreds of sites back then on almost any topic on inquiery, but what were your favourite ones and was there anything close to Wikipedia’s immenseness (minus the risk of false information)?

I have an audition coming up and need a monologue. I’m female… and would love to do a comedy. Are there any resources online? Even if I have to pay?

Areas are problem solving, proper relationships, be encouraging to others, communication, self-awarness, and many other areas. I am looking for resources as well as online resources.
