I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, so I took A LOT of math classes, including; Theory of Mathematics, Calculus !, !! & !!!, etc. I don’t like programming and I was wondering what good careers are there in Mathematics, besides teaching ( i would love to teach, but i didn’t take any teaching classes).
Do you need additional training for jobs like actuary. Would I have to go back to school? I have 2 minors also (including Mathematics), I don’t want to go back to school.

I am thinking of doing master in mathematics education and teach community college, but I hardly see any jobs out there. I thought math teachers were in demand. So please can anyone tell me if currently there is a demand for math teachers in community college in IL? Who should I ask?

I’m doing an English paper on the attitudes of people in relation to mathematics, and of course I want to get opinions from all sides of the issue.
So, if those of you that absolutely hate math had the opportunity to learn it in a manner that makes it understandable, would you take that opportunity?
People are not born to hate math, but end up with that attitude because of some influence. In my thesis, I’m arguing on how the way one is taught is the reason for their attitude of dislike/hate.

For all you math wizards out there. Do you have any advice on resources and techniques to advance from basic High School math to the more advanced? I’m interested in teaching myself calculus, trig and possibly mathematical theory. I just can’t seem to organize any sort of plan or find anything on the internet that helps me with a feasible way to do so.
I would also like some kind of refresher on the more advanced basics before I dive into the real deal. Thanks for you help.
