College GPA for mathematics bachelor?

Posted by admin on August 2, 2009
I have a 2.5 gpa for a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from a decent state school. What are my odds of finding a job teaching high school mathematics with this accreditation.

    Create a video blog…instantly.

If you want to teach you need a teaching license, depending on the state the requirements for doing so will be different. This may require taking some teacher education and math methods classes. I was in your shoes, trying to obtain my math teaching certification. Not very easy, on the classes scale. Your GPA is not too good, but not to bad considering it is in mathematics, probably one of the toughest out there. When applying for a job the employer is going to be more interested on you, what you learned, your skills, what makes you you. They will be more concerned with what you learned from the classes than what your grade point avergae is.
