how hard is it for adults to learn to use wheelys shoes?

Posted by admin on August 7, 2009
Kids seem to be able to use wheelys just fine, and they look like a lot of fun. I wonder how hard it would be for an adult to learn to use them?

Male, age withheld, abt 200 lbs.

about as easy as a kid learning, unless you have back pains or somethin. it usually takes about 20-30min to learn for any age

shouldn’t be too hard. i would guess that would depend on how good you can keep your balance.

If that turns you on, go for it!! On top of that, I want to thank you for being one of the few great people that still want to do things that are deemed “for kids”. I’m 27, a mom of three, and I just signed myself (and only myself) up for ice skating lessons! Let me know how the wheelys work out, they look fun!!

    My son has heelys.

I think it would depend on the person and if you are a quick learner or not. Just like learning to ride a bike or ice skate. You’ll fall down a few times, but sooner or later you’ll get the hang of it!!

A week if you’re pretty clumsy. Otherwise if you familiar with wheeled transportation (roller skates or inline skates in particular) you’ll start getting it right away.

Just a word of caution- they’re pretty miserable on sidewalks that are busted up or have to many gaps or ridges and they’re not good for walking long distances with your wheels in so you might want to practice on a smooth flat surface for the first couple of days.
