Is there a type of engineering that is strictly mathematics?
Posted by admin on June 18, 2008Is there a type of engineering that is just math, no designing or building?
Or is there another job like the one I’m looking for?
I like algerbra, so I am considering being a math teacher. Simultaneously, teaching doesn’t sound that appealing.

Also, would anyone consider accounting to be a soulless job?

almost any big project has positions that require is alot of number crunching, but the company eventually expects you to make something that does work
there are jobs that are almost entirely data and calculations. but you’ll need to develop your taste for it after trig/calculus/vector calc/engr.Analysis
what is a ’soulless’ job? The only ’soulless’ job is the one that never turns you on. burger flipping is the best thing ever for some people who like to prepare food and to serve it to people. but it would frustrate a mathematician. if you enjoy accounting, adn many people do, then go for it. I can tell you a few accountants that enjoy their work and are quite nicely paid for it.

An algebra teacher, really? I would have thought with your grammatical and spelling skills you’d choose to be an English teacher.
